Accruals Note

On back of photograph: "Best parlor. Room over exactly same size and detail called parlor chamber. 40 years ago on walls of staircase were discovered mural paintings done in oil on the plaster. They had been concealed for 100 years by two wallpapers, neither of which was landscape (?). The present Miss [name illegible]'s father remembers paintings on ceiling but never knew of walls. Ceiling was concealed by several coats of paint. Aug. 1896 HW Browne."
