Historical/Biographical Note

Historical/Biographical Note

A note on the photograph indicates that this mantle was located in the second floor front west chamber when it was photographed by Cousins, but an additional note indicates that the Lymans later moved the mantle to the first floor front west chamber during their occupancy of the house. Other photographs by Cousins are noted as having been taken during the Lyman occupancy. It is possible that this photograph was taken while the Lymans were in residence but before they moved the mantel.
