Description

Steel blue/grey silk taffeta; Bodice (A) - standing band neckline with steel grey satin rosettes creating scalloped edge; squared yoke (front and back) trimmed with taffeta and satin bands and grey silk fringe; long sleeves with trim of taffeta and satin and fringe; 9 grey silk covered buttons at front; boned and padded; lined with white china silk; scalloped hem/peplum; tape ties;(to hold skirt?); Skirt (B) -matching skirt; very full; smooth front; gathered at center back; apron effect created by taffeta and satin bands with grey silk fringe at front and hem; taffeta and satin bands at sides; ruffle around hem; blue/grey silk cord binds hem; hem lined and stiffened with deep band of white buckram; Belt and Sash (C) - matching belt with taffeta and satin trim, grey fringe and bow; stiffened; lined with grey silk; hook and eye closure; Fragment (D) - matching fragment of dress fabric.
