Bodice (A) is wine satin; collar & lapels of wine velvet w/ multicolor floral pattern woven in cut & uncut velvet. Same velvet trimming cuffs; white net pleated ruffle inside collar & cuffs; white lace scarf attached to collar. Hook & eye closure center front; pointed front; piped hem; 4-pointed peplum w/ 2nd layer in middle. Princess seams; boned darts & seams; white taffeta lining w/ hook & eye closure; white grosgrain ribbon inner waistband. Skirt (B) has floral velvet underskirt; satin overskirt & polonaises of satin & of white lace (see scarf); 2 pleated ruffles around hem. 2 under ruffles of pleated white cotton edged w/ lace; coin pocket at waist; pocket at right side; wine taffeta lining; 3 sets of cotton tape ties (lower 2 w/ boning) for bustle; train. Petticoat (C) is stiff white cotton w/ yoke at waist in front & cotton tape drawstring in back; 5 tiers of lace-edged ruffles at hem. Cotton tape drawstring & 2 ruffles at bustle level. Bow (D) is wine satin w/ long streamers; no means of fastening to garment. Bustle Petticoats (E&F) of stiff white cotton; cotton tape ties at waist; 9 applied ruffles down body w/ lace trimming at bottom 2 ruffles; 3 inner sets of cotton tape ties down body. Fragment (G) is a piece of wine satin.
