Description

Rectangular shape. Flat top with molded edges and applied (nailed) cleats on the sides. Top board hinged to the back board on the interior. dovetailed sides, nailed(?) to the bottom board. Cutout keyhole on the side front, without an escutcheon. Steel lock to clasp. Wrought iron handle attached to a wrought plate that is nailed at the ends of the chest. Painted a dark gray on the exterior.
