Description

Jacket-- Black wool broadcloth; knee-length; band collar with 2 hook and eyes; 9 satin covered buttons in center placket from collar to waist; long straight sleeves; 3 covered buttons at cuffs; center vent in back of jacket's skirt with two covered buttons at waist; body and collar lined with black satin; sleeves lined with white satin twill with black and blue woven stripes, satin loop at center back inside collar; lining quilted around chest; satin stripe cotton shields sewn in at armholes; 2 inner pockets at chest; right is horizontal, left is vertical; loose threads on shoulders for epaulets (epaulets in left pocket). 2 Epaulets-- Rectangles covered with black flannel; top face (?) has deep border of gold braid; gold braid cross at center.
