Red wool felt; V-neck, no collar; white horsehair (?) webbing edging around neck, body, and cuff; neck, body, armseyes, and cuffs trimmed with wide border of black ribbon with triangular edges; 15 pairs of ornamental round gold metal buttons down either side of placket; long, straight sleeves; princess seams in back; white silk lining with small tab with hook (no eye)
