Description

Two piece wedding dress. Bodice [a] Ivory ribbed silk; broad neckline; sharply pointed waist front and back; piping at neck, armseyes, and waist; short, loose sleeves pleated at shoulders; organdy undersleeve edged in lace; Bertha collar of white net with 6 rows of tulle ruffles (remnants of same treatment on sleeves); center back laced closure, boned darts and seams; fully lined with glazed white linen; botton edge of sleeves faced with white silk. Matching skirt [b]; narrow twill tape waistband; 3 tiers of ruffles appliqued in front above hem; top 2 tiers draped at right; back panel rucked at sides; glazed white linen, drawstring at top in center back waist; fully lined in glazed white linen; twill tape ties inside skirt. Matching belt; lined with crinoline; no fastening. Matching ornament (for belt?); semi-circle of silk, piped all around, black lace ruffle at bottom; lined with crinoline over rectangle of silk, pleated at bottom, lined with linen.
