Small, full-bellied form with flared foot and applied handle. Transfer prints and inscriptions on both sides in black. One side has a mourning scene at Washington's tomb, the other is showing a three-masted British ship under full sail. Glazed cream-colored body.
On side of the pitcher, in a transfer print is: Washington in Glory/America in Tears. The other side reads: Success to Trade.
