Description

Brick from a chimney of a stove foundry situated in the north end of town in the shipbuilding district. Made in Somerset, Massachusetts from clay and sand from Gay Head by Somerset Potters (now defunct). Incised inscription reads: "SOMERSET/ POTTERS/ WORKS. No. 1" Picked up by donor on shore of Taunton River about 1950.
