Silver pocket watch with removable case, white watch face with black Roman numerals. Watch face has 5 holes showing metal underneath and many cracks across face, back of watch is dented inwards. Watch case is also dented inwards in the back and heavily tarnished. In watch case are 2 papers, one blue one underneath top paper with a modified calendar, and the top paper is a label for the watch maker.
Mechanism: "Willm Watson / London / No 1004" Case: Two sets of British silver hallmarks one on the outer case and one on the inner case of lion passant, crowned leopard head, date letter "l" for the year 1786-1787, maker's mark "TG", and the duty mark. bottom paper (blue): "Bond&Son/opposite the/Exchange Coffee House/Congrefs Street/BOSTON" (writing encircled by modified calendar) back of bottom paper: [illegible] "Wm. G. Holmes/May 20t, 1830" top paper (yellow): "Jubal Howe/WATCH MAKER/at/[illegible]&Ball/123/Washington St./BOSTON" back of top paper: "Mr. Holmes/November/2638129" (Engraved, hallmarked and printed)
