Description

Tortoiseshell watch chain with large oval links and attached tortoiseshell locket with interlocking initials "ON" applied to the front, inside contains two empty compartments with glass bezels.The donor's father, Otis Norcross, most likely owned and wore this watch chain. Otis Norcross served as Boston's 19th Mayor from 1867 to 1868 after amassing a significant sum running a successful pottery business.
