Classification: Part-time (weekends)
Location: Codman Estate, Lincoln, Mass.
Description: The Preventive Care Assistant and Guide is responsible for caring for the museum space and collections, conducting tours of the museum property, and assisting with programs. Guide responsibilities include processing admissions and memberships. Training is provided.
Qualifications: Applicants should enjoy working with the public when presenting guided tours and have an interest or background in history, art history, and/or architecture. As typically performed, this position regularly involves talking, hearing, standing, and walking during tours. When working with collections, bending/stooping and some lifting are also involved. Bachelor’s degree and experience in historic preservation or museum studies are preferred. Weekend availability and reliable transportation are required.
