Location: Portsmouth and Exeter, New Hampshire
Description: Historic New England seeks part-time guides for three historic sites in Portsmouth and one in Exeter, New Hampshire, for the 2019 season. The properties include Jackson House (c. 1664), Rundlet-May House (1807), Governor John Langdon House (1784) and Gilman Garrison House (1709). Stationed at one or two houses during the season, guides will conduct tours and assist with daily museum operations including tour admissions, museum shop, public programs, and opening and closing the museum. Training is provided.
Qualifications: Applicants should enjoy working with the public, have an interest in history, and have basic computer skills. Experience in retail sales and customer service desirable. Must be available weekends and have a flexible schedule.
