Join a dynamic team that makes things happen! Historic New England is the oldest and largest regional heritage organization in the nation and we are looking for a detail-oriented person to join our development team as constituent information manager. The person in this position is an integral member of the team as our on-staff constituent information resource. Your job will have you sleuthing details from a variety of sources, making sense of them, and fitting them together into successful strategies.
The constituent information manager leverages publicly available resources and internal data, and synthesizes the information into reports that drive strategic action plans for our fundraisers. This position assists in building the team’s capabilities through data analysis of both current and prospective constituents. The constituent information manager has strong writing skills to create research summaries, proposals, and donor communications. This position also develops the donor mailings, and segments and tracks mailing list requests. The role of constituent information manager requires creative thinking and a high level of interaction with colleagues.
Qualifications: Requires a bachelor’s degree and three years of experience working with constituent data. The employee in this position must be extremely organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining precise attention to details, priorities, formats, procedures, and quality. Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills, tact, and diplomacy are required for regular interaction with high-level internal and external constituents. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality required. Requires fully proficient computer skills, including advanced working knowledge of MS Office, databases, internet research, and email management. Experience in fundraising and with fundraising databases is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will have the ability and enthusiasm to learn new skills.
Other Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in fundraising and with Tessitura database preferred.
