Classification: Seasonal/part-time

Location: Castle Tucker and Nickels-Sortwell House, Wiscasset, Maine

Historic New England seeks a seasonal, part-time Guide to work at Wiscasset houses Castle Tucker and Nickels-Sortwell House for the 2021 season. The museums are open Fridays – Sundays, June 1 – October 17. Guide will conduct tours and assist with daily museum operations including online ticketing, opening and closing the museum and light cleaning.

Training is provided. Historic New England strictly adheres to all federal, state, and local COVID-19 prevention protocols.

Qualifications: Applicants must have knowledge of American history, enjoy working with the public, have excellent communications skills, and basic computer skills. Must be available weekends, have a flexible schedule, and commit to employment through the end of the 2021 season, (June through mid-October). Bachelor’s degree and prior museum, academic or historical organization experience is preferred.
