Casey Farm welcomed tens of thousands of visitors this year

Located in Saunderstown, Rhode Island, Casey Farm has been in business since the eighteenth century, when it produced food for local and foreign markets. Today, it continues to serve the community through a Community Supported Agriculture program and weekly farmers’ market; tours of the historic farmhouse, landscape, and cemetery; and popular school and youth programs, including summer camps and Project CHICK.

The farm welcomed more than 37,000 visitors in the past year, including around 9,500 students, to its beautiful setting along the Narragansett Bay. Watch the video above to see why Casey Farm is an important part of Rhode Island’s agricultural past and present.

Historic New England is currently raising $80,000 to preserve three barns and repair sections of the more than ten miles of dry-laid stone walls at Casey Farm.
