A Day at the Farm

This farm program teaches preschool and elementary school students about farm animals, farm work past and present, and the ecology of a farm and its inhabitants.
Pre-visit materials help familiarize students with Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm and the work that goes on daily and seasonally. Students take part in a tour of the farm focusing on farm animals, the farmhouse and barn, and the work for which each farm family member was responsible. Station-based activities focus on spring planting, sheep shearing, summer garden care and fall harvesting.
