What did children play 100 years ago? What was childhood like in Colonial America? In this hands-on program students explore the history of play in America and compare it to their lives today. Students learn about childhood and the popular leisure activities of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. They try toys and amusements, including optical toys, parlor games, and hand-made toys. Post-visit activities include instructions for additional toys and games.
