Centennial School Projects
In honor of our centennial, we are launching 100 Years, 100 Communities to protect and share New England's twentieth-century history. We are partnering with communities throughout the region on projects -- large and small -- that capture their unique stories before they are lost. Projects listed in this section represent partnerships with schools and school districts in the region.
North Bennet Street School Partnership
In this partnership,
North Bennet Street students followed preservation techniques and
methods developed during the twentieth-century, and fabricated scale
models of various building joints from four seventeenth-century Historic
New England properties.
Boston Public Schools Documentary Photo Project
Historic New England educators are working with fifth-grade students to photograph Boston Public Schools.
Berlin & Coos County Oral History Project
Timberlane Regional High School, in Plaistow, New Hampshire, and the Berlin and Coos County Historical Society have collaborated on an oral history project resulting in a 90-minute documentary on Berlin in the twentieth century.
