- In honor of the 125th anniversary of the founding of Mount Holyoke College in 1962, the Mount Holyoke Club of Western Maine reproduced a print of the original seminary building made by Nathaniel Currier in 1845. The print celebrates the lives of early New England students and reminds us of those who spread teaching throughout the world.

- Boston chairs" were extremely popular in the middle states. But what exactly constituted a "Boston chair," and was it manufactured exclusively in the city? Shipping records and advertisements for Plunkett Fleeson's store in 1742 and 1744 shed some light on these handsomely formed and soundly constructed chairs.
