Mechanical Systems White Papers
Historic house museums are likely to have different generations of mechanical systems that are retained for interpretive purposes but some of these systems may also be in active use. From a safety and efficiency perspective, active mechanical systems should be assessed and any upgrades or changes performed in a thoughtful manner that is consistent with preservation philosophies but also provides required functionality in a safe and efficient manner.
