First Lady hens

Species: Chickens Breed: Wyandotte Mix Born between 2003 and 2006 Like most animals, these hens have distinct personalities and markings. The biggest black and brown hen is named Hillary and is both very bossy and also easy to handle. Jackie, the white and brown speckled hen, is quiet and submissive and likes to stay in the coop alone. With no rooster in the coop, the eggs that these hens produce will not become chicks. They are excellent layers, and we get 6 to 8 extra-large eggs a day. These hens are among the few survivors of a large flock who were living in crowded conditions. Some have lingering breathing and skin problems from their ordeal, but all are doing well.
