Species: Sheep Breed: Romney/Merino Cross Romney sheep are known for their plentiful, but coarse fleece. They are also bred for meat, as they tend to be larger than Merino sheep. Born in 2004 The average lifespan of a healthy sheep is 10-15 years. Though animals have been known to live to 20, their teeth tend to break down after about age 10. Coin, like his half-sister Caroline, loves green grass more than anything else in the world. He also loves bananas and potato chips. He eats up to ten pounds of hay per day and also gets a supplemental pellet feed. Coin came from the MSPCA. Her owner did not want to sell him for meat and could not keep him. He came with his half-sister Caroline.
