Sun and Shine
Species: Goat Breed: Nubian Nubians were developed in England by crossing British goats with bucks of African and Indian origin. They are the most popular breed in the United States. Born in 2002 The average lifespan of a healthy goat is 10-12 years, though some goats have been known to live into their late twenties! Sun and Shine love to nibble on leaves and bushes. They eat about ten pounds of hay per day, and also have a supplemental pellet feed. Sun and Shine love popcorn, cereal, corn flakes, and potato chips. It is a popular misconception that goats will eat anything – these two are picky eaters. Sun and Shine came from the MSPCA. They were given up because they got too big for their owner to handle. They are very strong and can be pushy at times. Sun and Shine are neutered males, called wethers. Wethers are often used to pull carts, carry packs, and protect sheep.
