1929 Model A Ford
When Stephen Phillips graduated from Harvard in 1929, he and four friends took an American West road trip that took them from Vancouver to Colorado. The boys lived out of Hosmer Norris’ 1929 Model A Ford. Stephen and his wife Betty purchased this 1929 Model A Ford in 1942 and it was likely used for pleasure drives with the family. With a standard phaeton body, this car stands five feet tall and thirteen feet long. Prices of a new Model A in 1929 averaged $400 - $500. It has a four-cylinder engine with forty horsepower and can hit a top speed of sixty-five miles per hour. This car has been completely restored and is in driving condition.
