From the dining room, one passes through a kitchen vestibule and into the original kitchen, where a large eighteenth century fireplace displays a collection of early cooking equipment. This fireplace was a treasured part of the “collection” at Hamilton House because the colonial cooking hearth was a powerful symbol for the Colonial Revival movement.
