Elise's garden
Across the hall from the master bedchamber is Elise Tyson’s bedroom. In the room is an enlarged image of the Tysons' garden taken by Elise. The most noticeable difference between the Tyson garden and the garden today is the absence of garden arbor, trellises, and garden rooms that served as outdoor living spaces. These were deteriorated when Historic New England inherited the property and were removed after further damage by a hurricane in the early 1950s.
