Morning room
The paneling in the morning room is the original 1740s woodwork. Painted white since the room’s redecoration as a library by Ogden Codman Sr. in the 1860s, this room reflects the Codmans’ taste in French furniture and fabrics. Also present in this room are objects from Sarah Bradlee Codman’s family business in the Asia trade. The room was redecorated in the 1890s to become a morning room.
