Wallpaper at Historic New England
In 2002, Historic New England made their internationally known wallpaper collection of more than 4,200 pieces ranging from the 1750s to the 1950s available to the public through an online exhibition and dedicated searchable database. This invaluable resource quickly became a favorite destination for designers, academics, collectors and wallpaper enthusiasts. Since then, through accessions, gifts and purchases, the wallpaper collection has grown to over 6,000 pieces. The illustrated history and resources sections of the original exhibition are also updated and still just one click away.
