Wallpaper
| Historic New England's extensive wallpaper collection contains individual samples of wallpaper, historic photographs of wallpaper in situ, and ephemera dealing with the wallpaper industry. The wallpapers range from pristine examples with complete repeats to small fragments that are part of a sequence in a particular room. The browse categories listed below allow you to easily access the collection by date of manufacture. Use the advanced search to find information on pattern, manufacturer, or place. Part of Historic New England's Collections Access Project, this database allows you to access objects in our artifact and archive collections as well as our wallpaper collection. The merger of these data sources has been an enormous project and as such is bound to have some errors and inconsistencies.
