Textiles & Household Objects
| Historic New England is known for the breadth and depth of its textile collections which range from utilitarian homespun and home-woven linen bed sheets to elaborate Victorian silk window curtains, and from carefully worked needlework scenes made around 1750 to decorative kitchen pot holders from the twentieth century. This catch-all category also includes cooking and lighting equipment and items used for personal hygiene. |
