Preserving the Momentary

Tickets, greeting cards, programs, advertisements, invoices, menus, invitations, broadsides, and other expendable paper items make up Historic New England's ephemera collection. Dating from the eighteenth century to the present, these printed pieces shed light on the daily lives of New Englanders, the history of technology in the region, and stylistic shifts in graphic design.
