A view looking up College Hill, in Providence, towards the Brown University campus. The building at the top of the frame is University Hall, which would make the street College Street. Both sides of the street are lined with large houses that appear to be private dwellings, and there are sidewalks on both sides of the unpaved street. There is a horse-drawn carriage that appears to be stationary in front of one of the homes, and the trees are bare of all leaves.
