An older woman stands on the front steps of the house. Fisher-Bliss House is located at 86 North Water Street, Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. Thomas M. Coffin built the Greek Revival residence in 1832 for Captain George Lawrence, who later sold it to Captain Jared Fisher. The whaling captain's house features a widows' walk on the roof, which provides a view of the sea and ships returning from voyages.
