Some Old Brookline Houses (1949)

Description

In 1949, Mrs. Little published her first book, Some Old Brookline Houses Built in this Massachusetts Town Before 1825 with the Brookline Historical Society. This publication is a survey of domestic buildings from the eighteenth to nineteenth century, including Mrs. Little's own home, the John Warren Homestead. Materials in this series include extensive photographic records of the historic homes in Brookline with related probate and family history research. In addition, Mrs. Little kept notebooks with architectural terminology, floor plans, and illustrations of houses in her study.

Researchers may also wish to consult the Printing Plates series to view the original relief printing blocks for the book's house floor plans and lithographic printing plates for the book's photographic illustrations.
