Stock book of L. F. Brett of Duxbury, Massachusetts, dated February 1, 1843. Listed are a variety of clothing items and accessories, such as scarves, handkerchiefs, and hosiery. Other entries refer to children's clothing, sewing supplies and notions, foundations, and textiles. Household items listed include: tablecloths; trimmings; brushes; varnish; screws; latches; and baking and cooking utensils. Included within the blue pages is an inventory of store items "Removed to Kingstone." Overall, this gives a detailed picture of the type of commerce carried on in the mid-19th century. Bound in leather with a marbleized paper cover, 6.75 x .75 x 16.125 inches.
