Portfolio containing containing approximately 200 pieces of ephemera, fifteen of which are loose and the remaining arranged by subject in 53 envelopes. Portfolio has maroon fabric cover with title "Publication de L'Institute de France / Monuments Antiques / II" stamped in gold on front. Contents do not relate to title subject in any way; presumably portfolio was utlized solely for safekeeping. Contents were arranged and housed in envelopes by staff of The Strong Museum.
The first envelope contains two bookplate designs and eight-two photomechanical prints of advertisements for Irving and Casson or Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. Digital images of a selection of these items is attached to this record. The remaining envelopes contain photos, photomechanical prints, newspaper clippings, magazine clippings and other ephemera relating to primarily ecclesiastical interiors and furnishings, some of which depict the work of Irving and Casson or Irving and Casson - A. H. Davenport Co. Many of the photographs and prints relate to those shown in the advertisements. Others are presumably for reference purposes.
