Description

Design drawing titled "Japanese Burau of Cypress" rendered in pencil on trace. Perspective view is shown. Bureau has two cases on a base with molded top rim and bracket feet. Lower rectangular case has eight drawers of varying widths and heights arranged in five tiers. Upper rectangular case projects outward over lower case and has convex curved sides with carved brackets below; two drawers on left and a cupboardon right of two shallow drawers arranged in a stairstep fashion; and backboard with central rectangular tablet. Title, design notes, "Made for Mr. Rumrell 10714" and "11393" are handwritten on drawing.
