Design drawing titled "Bed of Mahogany" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown. Neoclassical-style double tester bed has rectangular headboard with carved rope motifs forming a serpentine crest; rectangular footboard with two recessed panels; four turned posts with upper vasiform sections, middle urns, and square bases with elaborate carving throughout including rosettes, acanthus leaves, bell flowers, garlands and swags; short turned and carved vasiform legs with cuffs and terminating in casters; and tester frame attached to posts. Tester has flat top, molded cornice, frieze with carved rosettes at ends and central carved basket of fruit with swags, and is shown with a fabric valence. Title, "3464, " "White House" and "June 5, 05" are handwritten on drawing.
