Rectangular chest has overhanging lift-top lid with rounded front corners; front and back panels that extend beyond side panels; cyma-curve cutouts on bottom of front side panels to form feet; brass bail handles on sides; and recessed front panel with large carved rosette within center circular medallion; and gilding on medallion. Title, design notes, "For A. C. Baldwin" and "Sent to Factory Nov. 6 1905 F. E. J." are handwritten on drawing. Also handwritten is "? { 43277 37056."
