Low rocking side chair has shaped crest rail with scrolls at center; upholstered back with slightly concave sides; and straight lower back rail; stiles with fluted columnar stiles topped with carved rectangles and pineapple finials; upholstered retangular seat; narrow straight seat rails with carved molding and corner blocks; raked square rear legs; molded tapered square front legs; and simple rockers. TItle, "W. Y. White" and "Det 1556 / Jackson" are handwritten on drawing.
