Neoclassical-style arm chair has rectangular back which flares backward at top; rectangular upholstered panel on back; straight lower back rail; curvilinear stiles with round ends flowing into arms, side rails and rear raked legs; curved arms continuing into large C-shaped scrolled arm supports; upholstered seat; single row of metal tacks along edges of upholstery; straight seat rails with curved front corners; and tapered round front legs with ring turnings and turned ovoid feet. "Exchange Nat. Bank / 48166," "7544" and "Allbright / Galllery / Northern Trust / No 46608" are handwritten on drawing.
