Design drawing titled "Chair of Oak" rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown. William and Mary-style arm chair has ornately carved arched crest rail; oval caned back within a carved frame; carved lower back rail; spiral twist stiles with carved blocks and ovoid finials; upholstered seat; narrow seat rails; shaped arms with scrolled handholds; curved arm supports; turned spiral twist and rectangular block legs with bun feet; turned spiral twist H-stretcher; and ornately carved front rail. Extensive carved ornamentation on rails, kegs arms and arm supports includes quatrefoils, scrolls, foliage, rosettes and urns of flowers. Title, "11390" and the following note are handwritten on drawing: "This chair taken from History of / English Furniture by Percy Macquoid / Vol. II Part VI PAge 10 Fig. 9 / Det. by G. B. P. & Made for C. C. Walker."
