Design drawing titled "Chair of Oak" rendered in pencil on trace. Front view is shown. Drawing appears to be a preliminary sketch as not all details are are complete. William and Mary-style arm chair has ornately carved crest rail; rectangular caned back panel flanked by carved stiles; conforming carved lower back rail; spiral twist stiles with quatrefoil-carved blocks and round finials; caned seat; shaped arms with scrolled handholds; turned spiral twist and rectangular block legs with ovoid feet; turned spiral twist H-stretcher; and ornately carved front rail. Carved ornamentation includes scrolls, foliage, rosettes and cherubs. Title, "For C. C. Walker, Esq. / Page 12 Vol. II Mag." and "11735" are handwritten on drawing.
