Neoclassical-style side chair has shield-shaped back with serpentine crest rail; pierced splat; painted decoration on back including rosettes, bellflowers, and patarae; shaped stiles; upholstered seat with serpentine front and single row of metal tacks along bottom edge; painted rosettes on corner blocks of straight seat rails; raked rear legs; and tapered square legs with painted bellflowers in front. Design note is handwritten on drawing. Companion arm chair is CC010.001.006.039.006.
