Description

Design drawing titled "Music Cabinet of Mahogany and Painted Decoration" rendered in pencil on trace. Front, side and interior views are shown. Neoclassical-style rectangular cabinet has overhanging top with egg-and-dart molded edge and dentil molding; tall rectangular case with one door; and four tapered legs terminating in spade feet. Cabinet door has painted decorative elements including: a vertical series ovals, swags and garlands. The cabinet interior has four sliding trays and four adjustable shelves. Title, design notes, "For H. B. Day" and "Det. Dec. 17 - 1904 K" are handwritten in pencil.
