Description

Beige silk taffeta; curved brim, has round edges which extend below neckline; edge of brim has four narrow ribs close together--one of ribs is wire, another single rib; and box pleated self-ruffle; close to the ruffle are three ribs (close together); there are nine additional ribs (cane) along brim, with fabric gathered around each rib; horseshoe shaped crown has seven cane ribs (with three at back placed close together); box pleated ruffle (same as brim); with center back panel, horseshow shaped, of same beige silk; self-fabric neck ruffle with turned hem, and gathered onto a cane rib; no ribbon ties; there are two wire supports attached across ribs on inside of brim (one support is detached at one end and should be restitched in place); center back and neck edge lined with white canvas/gauze.
