Description

One of a set of four bread or dessert plates. White clay body with colorless glaze. Square form with canted corners; molded to appear that the corners are folded over. Square flat well with straight sides or rim, canted outward. Machine painted rim decoration of grey diaper-like repeating stripes featuring dots and tri-lobed elements imitating fabric. Printed marks: H+Co. L; “HAVILAND + CO./LIMOGES
