Description

Rectangular black velvet frame with circular reveal; circular bas relief side view of “Josiah Quincy/Mayor of Boston/1896-1899.” Attached note reads, “3rd mayor of Boston of that name. A reduction in gilt bronze of a medal that hung in the Old Boston City Hall, School Street. This Josiah born in this house October 15th, 1859. The work of Richard Brooks, Quincy sculptor who did many statues in U.S. cities.”
